Anne Schnatterly serves as director of the Clinical Research Unit at the WVU Cancer Institute, as well as the executive director of West Virginia Cancer Clinical Trials Network (WVCTN), which represents six research locations across the state of West Virginia.
Schnatterly joined WVU with the challenge of developing WVU Medicine’s cancer portfolio and bringing the newly-created West Virginia Cancer Clinical Trials Network from concept to reality. She has enjoyed the collaboration and reciprocal growth with the cancer team in the state.
She began her career in cancer research at University Hospitals of Cleveland Seidman Cancer Center, concentrating in lung cancer and HIV malignancies, including the opportunity to work with international sites in Africa. She progressed into a management track and oversaw clinical and financial operations, including a regional network and Phase I developmental therapeutics program.
